Job Description


On behalf of one of its clients, an innovative applied behavioral science-based research agency, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for an Insights Director

The Insights Director will be expected to provide input on proposal development, develop and implement appropriate research plans and methodologies for quantitative studies for new product development, packaging (re)design and shopper experience. This person should be a self-starter who possesses strong attention to detail, enjoys multi-tasking, and can meet deadlines while working under pressure. The ideal candidate can work both independently and as part of a larger team and will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience.

The hiring companys goal is to ensure their clients\xe2\x80\x99 brands have the greatest chance of being purchased. And repurchased. All studies are ad-hoc in nature and the scope of work includes conducting research in markets across many markets at once.

Responsibilities

  • To understand the background and intent of client requests (participating in kick-off calls, reviewing proposals and market research briefs)
  • Includes taking the time to develop a deeper understanding of the clients\xe2\x80\x99 categories and key competitors
  • Lead the development of research plans and proposals (adhering to the Companys best practices, services, and visual guidelines)
  • Willingness to contribute to the research process, if necessary, including screeners, questionnaire design, scripting surveys, etc.
  • Managing / directing projects from start to finish including close collaboration with PM/fieldwork department
  • Lead strategic analysis and reporting
  • Train & coach a team of juniors
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Arts /Bachelor of Sciences preferably
  • 8+ years of experience in a research consultancy or market research environment, ideally with FMCG clients and/or shopper/packaging/ NPD/ retail research
  • Knowledge and interest in new-tech and digital research solutions
  • Good understanding of quantitative metrics and experience in combined qual-quant projects execution and analysis preferred
  • Strong writing and analytical ability \xe2\x80\x93 knowing how to convert data and analysis into stories
  • Must be able to work independently, yet be comfortable asking questions
  • Proven ability to take responsibility, think analytically, and communicate clearly
