What the role is:The Housing & Development Board (HDB) aims to offer affordable, high-quality housing and create a conducive living environment where communities can flourish. To achieve this goal, HDB\'s Data Science and AI Centre of Excellence (DSAI COE) leverages the HDB\'s data to address significant housing challenges. We\'re looking for a well-rounded Engagement (Marketing & Communications) Intern who is comfortable with working in a results-oriented environment. You will join our expanding DSAI COE \xef\xbc\x88Data Science & Artificial Intelligence) team at HDB and work with our Engagement Manager to promote and enhance the data and analytics culture within the organization through marketing and communications. To succeed in this position, you should possess the ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge, work autonomously, communicate proficiently, and perform effectively in a nurturing and empathetic environment.What you will be working on:

• Assist in the creation of marketing and promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, newsletters, and email campaigns. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide support in organizing and implementing (including managing logistics, budget, and vendors) community events and initiatives such as meetups, competitions, seminars, and brown bag sessions to level up competencies of HDB officers in DS & AI. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist to engage with community members through various publicity strategies, including EDM, polls, focus group sessions, and collaboration tools like MS Teams. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and manage the community portal and knowledge hub, including sourcing useful resources such as articles, videos, tutorials on Data Science and moderating forum activity or write content. \xe2\x80\xa2 Play an active role in engaging business units to participate in and contribute to the community activities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Track and analyze engagement metrics to measure the success of community initiatives and identify areas for improvement. \xe2\x80\xa2 Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in community engagement and apply them to the community\'s activities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Sourcing for speakers from both the public sector and industry for community meetups where appropriate. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding. \xe2\x80\xa2 Help with other projects related to marketing and communications or beyond.

What we are looking for:

• Pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations (PR), or a related field. \xe2\x80\xa2 Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. \xe2\x80\xa2 A detail-oriented self-starter and quick learner with excellent organization skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiar with digital marketing tools and/or techniques and social media platforms. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or alternate software like GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus is a plus \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in marketing or PR agencies, tech companies or other public organizations is a plus. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to commit to a full-time internship of 3 to 6 months, or more.
