ING\xe2\x80\x99s regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a 30% stake in TMB in Thailand.Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING\'s Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.What does the Sustainable Finance Team do in ING?Sustainability is deeply embedded in ING as is evidenced through our globally leading positions in the Sustainable Finance market and our Terra strategy to align our complete loan portfolio with the Paris Climate Agreement. The Sustainable Finance team is mandated to help clients with their funding needs for sustainable developments. Part of a leading global Sustainable Finance team, the Asia Pacific team is based in Singapore and provides sustainable financing solutions (such as green/social bonds and loans, sustainability linked loans, etc.), coupled with in-depth sector expertise to our clients in the Asia Pacific region.What would you be doing?Assist in originating, structuring, and executing Sustainable Finance transactionsPrepare pitchbooks and other relevant materials for conferences, workshops, webinars, etc.Analyse annual reports, broker reports, and sustainability reportsResearch and analyse corporate sustainability disclosure and sector specific developmentsAssist in reviewing and gathering intelligence on sustainable finance markets (loan, bond, derivatives etc.) and updating regulatory developmentsAssist in data extraction, management, and manipulation from ESG databases and reportsAny other sustainable finance related tasks that may ariseWhat qualities and skills are we looking for?We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:Post or undergraduate in any discipline, specializing in environmental sustainability, economics, finance, data science, social science, and/or technology related subjectsKeen interest in leveraging the financial markets to create positive enviromental and social impactCandidates with prior internship or research experience in sustainability, ESG, data science, capital markets, and/or corporate banking are preferredHighly proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, and WordExperience in data management and related programming tools will be a plusA good team player who is analytical, detail-oriented, organized and systematicExcellent communication skills with a can-do attitudeFluent in spoken and written English; knowledge in other Asian languages, in particular MandarinWhat would you gain from this internship?You will be an integral part of a market leading international team that is shaping the world of sustainable financeAn exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of the financial markets and on transactions across the green/social/sustainable debt spectrum (loans, bonds, hybrids) in a wide range of industry sectors as well as being an advocate for a more sustainable world!Need more information?
