What the role is:Project title: Review of Active Labour Market Policies Project Overview: You will conduct research on active labour market policies targeted at improving the employment outcomes of various worker segments in Singapore (e.g., workers in SMEs and contingent workers, workers in domestic sectors, youths); and/or raising firm productivity through workforce transformation (e.g., job redesign, reskilling).What you will be working on:The intern\'s tasks will include (a) desktop research on best practices from other countries, (b) quantitative analysis of labour market data, (c) examination of the roles of different ecosystem players (e.g., unions, employers, TACs), and (d) synthesis of insights to support policy formulation.What we are looking for:- Good analytical skills with a strong interest in developing policy acumen - Good interpersonal, communication skills - Highly-motivated, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work well in a team, with the willingness to take initiativeAbout Ministry of Manpower:The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) aims to develop a productive workforce and progressive workplaces, for Singaporeans to have better jobs and a secure retirement.
