What the role is:Central Business Districts (CBDs) have powered our cities for as long as they were inhabited. However, disruptions and emerging trends threaten the relevancy of the CBD. Hence, CBDs will need to undergo critical transitions to adapt and evolve, especially in their form and function. This research will set out to study the transitions that the CBD needs to undergo. The intern will support the project through research on trends and case studies of other cities. The intern should have strong research and writing skills.What you will be working on:Interns will be able to: 1. Develop their analytical and writing skills 2. Gain a deeper understanding of planning and governance behind Central Business Districts in Singapore and other citiesWhat we are looking for:Strong interest in urban planning and policy issues. Strong research, writing and organisational skills. Candidates should be able to commit for at least 3 months.
