Job Description


Job Summary: Booking.com is in need of a talented and engaged IT Buyer and Logistics Specialist based out of Singapore to support the hardware and software procurement demand for the APAC region, and back up for other regions occasionally. This role coordinates with different parties to deliver products to more than 100 countries in order to provide a seamless employee experience and to empower the workforce. This role will act as both an individual contributor and as part of a global team responsible for hardware and for software management. This role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to stay ahead of changes, solve logistical challenges, manage supplier issues and monitor inventories.
Responsible:

  • Purchase Tech equipment through our suppliers around the world.
  • Raise purchase orders and process goods receipts for equipment delivered.
  • Respond to internal customers on ticket requests showing excellent customer service.
  • Participate in the re-supply of bulk stock in key locations and monitor stock levels.
  • Ensure purchase of hardware in a timely manner in accordance with SLAs.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure accurate delivery of orders to office and home based users.
  • Find workarounds to problems such as hardware shortages, delivery issues and software lacking ownership.
  • Follow the purchase ordering processes:
    • Understand the request
    • Obtain vendor quotes
    • Acknowledge input from vendor
    • Placing orders
    • Arrange and track deliveries globally
    • Resolve shipping or delivery challenges
    • Follow up with user to acknowledge goods received
    • Keep Support up to date
    • Timely updates of hardware request tickets
  • Look for ways to improve processes, create automation through tooling, bring new suppliers onboard and improve the experience for our colleagues.
  • Communication: you will be in continuous communication with employees, contractors and vendors. You will frequently interact with global team members.

Skilled:
  • 1 to 3 years of IT procurement and vendor management related experience.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or Diploma in any field.
  • A broad understanding of IT hardware, software, operating systems and basic computer security.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good work ethic; self-directed and resourceful.
  • Proactive in taking ownership and team collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer centric mindset.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
  • Good business awareness and ability to prioritize decisions in favor of the business.
