Roles & Responsibilities The IT Engineer, Server and Storage plays a vital role in supporting the servers and storages operations to ensure high availability and sustainability of private/public cloud hosting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take over server and storage operations which include but not limited to preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring, backup and recovery, incident/problem management and patch management to achieve or exceed the SLA.
• Able to liaise with intra/inter department team on IT initiatives, maintenance, and user request.

• Create and maintain server & storage related documentation which include but not limited to SOPs/WIs and policies.
• Conduct periodic review and propose improvement to the server and storage infrastructure to ensure high availability.
• Assistant to project manager, co-ordinate between various stakeholders and ensure project is complete within timeline and budget.

• Work closely and proactively with vendor on maintenance and incident/problem management processes from detection to work around and permanent solution provisioning to ensure IT services availability as accordance to SLA.
• Conduct monthly review of server and storage capacity and utilization.
• Manage asset, maintain server and storage inventory, configuration, and disposal.
• Establish and review processes, procedures, policies, and access account to comply with internal/external audit.

• Assist in disaster recovery drill, ensure proper system backup, and perform periodic system restoration.

• Degree in IT/IS related discipline
• At least 3 years’ experience in on-prem/ cloud hosting role
• Certified or equipped with knowledge of ITIL, Microsoft, Linux, VMware, SAN Storage, Azure, and networking.
• Able to speak/write English fluently
• Good communication & presentation skills
• Good analytic, people & vendor management skills
• Good customer service skills and work well with people at all levels of all races and nationalities
• Able to work independently and a team player
