Job Purpose

This role is for Strides-YTL (ChargEco), a joint venture company. The IT Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Management System (CMS), including maintenance and trouble-shooting. The IT engineer shall also work closely with the CMS vendor in defining the CMS product development roadmap, and support in the UAT testing before rolling out to the entire EV charging network.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the IT engineer are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

• Demonstrated experience in EV charger deployment and onboarding process to CMS platform, including on-site test and commissioning.
• Strong working knowledge of AC and DC EV charging systems, with practical hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with OCPP is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WiFi/4G network principles, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Proficient in reading and analysing network log files exchanged between clients and servers.
• Proven expertise in ticket resolution, IT and security event monitoring, incident management, user request management, and problem management.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, configuring, and setting up network peripheral devices such as modems, routers, switches, and I/O devices.
• Proficiency in MySQL and MongoDB, including database objects like tables, indexes, views, and sequences, as well as writing complex queries.
• Experience in monitoring and supporting databases in the cloud, both managed by cloud providers and self-managed.
• Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure optimization, maintenance, and performance monitoring of cloud services and resources, preferably in AWS or Azure.
