FlexING Functional-Technical Ops Engineer - WB Tech FMGT, Competitive Pricing, Singapore

Business Function:

WB tech Financial Markets & Group Treasury is responsible for the IT environment that enables the most crucial commercial activities of ING: Trading, Risk Management, and Liquidity Management.

Your role & work environment

ING is looking for highly skilled motivated functional and technical Support (Ops) Engineer in Singapore, and you would be part of global squads located in Brussels, Bucharest and Singapore within Competitive Pricing area in ING Financial Markets

You and your squad will be delivering key components spread over FlexING squads of Competitive Pricing area in Wholesale Banking Financial Markets. FlexING is an in-house Front-Office real-time pricing, Sales Trader Workflow (GUI) and pricing service for IRD (Interest Rates, Credit and Inflation Derivatives, linear and non-linear, including structured products and notes), and market risks for Font-office intra-day and market risks EOD (Greeks, HVAR, Stress testing, etc).

As an Ops Engineer in WB Tech Financial Markets & Global Treasury, you contribute to accomplishing the squad\'s mission. You do this by working on the customer journey from the backlog, using the Agile method end-to-end. You continuously strive to improve yourself and your colleagues.

Your key responsibilities

The Ops Engineer bears primary responsibility for the stability of application(s), identifies application and system-related problems and takes the lead in resolving incidents. Your tasks consist of monitoring, management, studying and running the application/service. You proactively monitor the functional and technical behaviour and performance in all aspects for the entire stack in order to prevent problems. This means you can contribute to completion of all activities in the backlog. The following items are vital in this.

Engineering

• Provide L2 Support that covers both functional and technical needs to traders, sales and risk managers involved with a non-linear derivative trading platform during ASIA trading hours.
• Perform data improvement by (re)configuring new and existing products, reports and processes in general.
• You understand the entire stack\'s technology on which the application runs and how it fits in the overall chain.
• Oversee and managing production incidents arise during trading activities, lead incident resolution efforts, coordinating with relevant teams and stakeholders to minimize disruptions.
• Offer expertise in derivatives and risk management, troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, pricing, trade execution, construction of curves, PnL discrepencies, and work closely with users to optimize the various market risk reporting and modelling
• Perform Functional testing and Change Management activities in order to ensure the safe deliveries to Production environment.
• Collaborate with Quants teams to optimize performance of data-synapse grid computing.
• Drive for effective problem management, ensure preventive and detective measures of the applications are identified and resolved through the backlog and communication/ dialogue with the Product Owner
• Build, enhance and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error prone tasks, using the correct Event Alerts

Experience and specialized knowledge.

• Windows, PowerShell, Linux, MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL, data-synapse grid computing or similar technologies, Java and web server configurations.
• CI/CD pipeline tools using Azure, OpenShift cloud platform is an advantage.
• Broad understanding of banking business domains and consumer needs
• Experience in derivates valuation (OIS versus LIBOR), market risk reporting and modelling. Mainly construction of interest rate, FX and volatility curves and use them to value cash flows. Understanding this for linear derivatives (swaps) is a must. Nonlinear derivatives (swaptions and caps/floors) is a plus.
• Proven experience working closely with traders and risk management teams.

Education and professional certifications

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree or equivalent by experience
• Good written and spoken knowledge of English.
