Since opening its doors in 2008, Ubisoft Singapore has become the biggest AAA game development studio in Southeast Asia. The 500-strong studio is home to 35+ different nationalities focused on delivering ambitious gaming experiences to our players. Ubisoft Singapore has been contributing to all the Assassin\'s Creed\xc2\xae titles since Assassin\'s Creed\xc2\xae II. It innovated within the franchise as the studio behind the naval battle gameplay and water technology in Assassin\'s Creed\xc2\xae III, Assassin\'s Creed\xc2\xae IV Black Flag\xc2\xae and most recently in Assassin\'s Creed\xc2\xae Valhalla. Its expertise in AAA and live operations, combined with a passion for naval gameplay, pushed the team to lead the development of Skull and Bones\xe2\x84\xa2 revealed at E3 in 2017.



The Information Technologies (IT) Manager, reporting to the IT Regional Director and Studio Operations Director, defines and executes the employee facing IT strategy of Ubisoft in South East Asia (Singapore and Philippines), and maintains highly efficient operations aligned with both the world-wide IT standards and the regional business needs. The position is based in Singapore.

The IT Manager (SG & PH) will be able to:

  • Represent regional employee-facing IT teams, systems and processes towards local, regional and world-wide stakeholders;
  • Understand and align the vision, objectives and needs of sites into a prioritized actionable IT strategy;
  • Assess efficiency of our IT team, seek for improvements through new process or work methods;
  • Have a perfect understanding of our IT assets (hardware and software);
  • Build, maintain and track efficient IT budgets for all sites, teams and initiative under their scope;
  • Understand GNS and IT costs, find ways to optimize and reduce them ; find savings in local IT costs;
  • Ensure the availability, security and overall health of the IT environments, infrastructure and systems;
  • Drive, maintain, track and continuously improve day-to-day IT operations in the region aligned with global KPI;
  • Maintain strong and productive relationships with local game development projects, regional teams and worldwide IT partners;
  • Maintain active participation in global IT and game operations to align and improve global IT standards;
  • Own and/or contribute to global IT initiatives relevant to the local business reality of each site;
  • Maintain and develop motivated and high performing teams aligned with the business reality of each site;
  • Collaborate on major studio projects (renovation);
  • Foster synergies between sites.
Qualifications

The IT manager will have
  • Excellent understanding of an enterprise IT ecosystem in a game development context;
  • Excellent sense of customer service in a technical support environment;
  • Excellent English skills (spoken and written);
  • Strong communication and social skills;
  • Strong team management and organizational skills;
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong leadership mindset and team building spirit;
  • Good understanding of video game development methodologies and processes
  • Good understanding of application, workstation, server and network support processes;
  • Good knowledge of ITIL and industry standard IT support methodologies;
  • Good knowledge of IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recover concepts;
  • Ability to make quick business and technical decisions under pressure;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced changing environment;
  • Familiarity with IT, gaming and overall tech industry\'s news and trends;
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience;
  • 8+ years of experience IT operations or technical operations;
  • 5+ years in a lead or management position;
  • Technical certifications an asset (CCNA/MCP/CompTia/etc);
  • ITIL certification an asset;
