This is a trainee role - with a possibility of conversion to a permanent IT Support staff - and all training required will be provided. Working closely with the IT Manager, the purpose of this post is to support CARES researchers and professional support staff using their IT effectively in research and operations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain essential skills and build your IT knowledge and experience. Skills that you will develop include multi-tasking, team building, problem solving, system management, time management, customer service, technical skills, and working with the latest technology.No previous IT support experience is required; however, the successful candidate should have a high-level of interest in IT, good oral and written communication skills in English, and be able to clearly demonstrate their understanding of customer service. Previous experience of working on their own initiative as well as part of a team will also be helpful.Duties and Responsibilities
