Job Description

System Maintenance and Monitoring:


Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups on system and network. Continuously monitor system performance and health, identifying and resolving issues proactively. Ensure all IT systems and infrastructure are running efficiently and securely.
Troubleshooting and Support:


Respond to and resolve system-related issues and outages in a timely manner. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT team members. Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Security and Compliance:


Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect IT systems and data. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
B ackup and Disaster Recovery:


Manage backup systems and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and conduct regular testing.
Documentation and Reporting:


Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, and procedures. Generate and analyze system performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaborate with other IT staff to develop and implement best practices.
Collaboration and Communication:


Work closely with other IT team members to support various IT projects and initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system status and maintenance activities. Train and mentor junior staff as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in IT systems maintenance or a similar role. Proven experience in maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure in a complex environment. Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server and/or Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu). Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM or HCI. Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols. Familiarity with storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS) and data management techniques. Scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks. Good leadership skill
