Junior Corporate Communications (FMCG), Woodlands ContractSummary:This Communications Specialist will focus primarily on supporting our customer from Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry in their Scientific Communication to allow their retailers, media, social influencers and consumers able to have a good "feel" of their beauty and grooming products.Responsibilities:

  • (a) Writing Engaging Science Stories:
  • Humanize the science behind products by creating stories that are "S.C.I.E.N.C.E." (Simple, Credible, Interesting, Emotional, Novel, Consistent, and Experiential) to a non-scientific audience.
  • Engage actively with Research & Development (R&D) team to have a better understanding of the product technology.
  • Collaborate closely with Brand team to ensure that the science story fits well with the brand story.
  • Work on credentialing, advocacy and partnership strategies to strengthen the credibility of the science stories.
  • (b) Curating Engaging Science Assets:
  • Translate these science stories to externally shareable assets (i.e. PowerPoint slides, brochures, FAQs, videos, animations, digital content including website, visuals, sketches, pictures, demo kits, scripts, etc.) that will be used to educate customers/retailers, media, influencers, experts, shoppers, etc.
  • Partner with Creative and Design agencies to create these assets.
  • Designing, Experimenting and Conducting Demos to Showcase Product Superiority:
  • Creatively design and execute experiments in the lab to find simple yet unexpected ways to bring the product\'s benefits and superiority to life.
  • Use technical rigor to iterate and validate these experiments
  • Ensure general lab housekeeping and cleanliness of equipment as well as work area after
completion of these experiments in the lab. * Properly document results of experiment for tracking purposes
  • Manage the inventory of products and demo materials, and ensure they are stored and
maintained properly.Skills/Qualifications:
  • A Diploma/Degree in Science or Chemistry related disciplines would be a plus
  • Has 1-2 years of working experience in teaching or setting up Science Experiments in
educational laboratory environment is desirable. * Possess an out-going personality with a passion for research and innovation
  • With investigative and problem-solving mindset
  • Good organizational and coordination skill to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed
  • Proficient writing skills - translating complex science concepts to simple, easy-to-understand
