Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Lawyer for the Legal Department. This role will report directly to the Director of the Legal Department, based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive legal support to business operations by meticulously reviewing contracts spanning various sectors across South-East Asia.
• Develop and implement compliance strategies to ensure adherence to regulations across South-East Asia. This involves creating compliance policies and educational materials to promote awareness of diverse compliance domains.
• Offer expert legal and compliance guidance to management and internal stakeholders on an array of operational, contractual, and compliance matters within the South-East Asian context.
• Conduct thorough legal assessments of contracts and documents related to supply chain management, focusing on compliance and legality.

Requirements:

• Degree in Law from NUS or SMU and qualified to practice law in Singapore (admitted to the Singapore bar).
• A minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience in a Singapore law firm.
• Preferably experienced in general corporate law; however, candidates with expertise in litigation, restructuring, and insolvency will also be considered.
• Profound understanding of corporate and contract law, coupled with the ability to provide sound and pragmatic advice.
• Excellent communication skills and adept at interpersonal interactions.
• Strong organizational acumen, meticulousness, and resourcefulness in a team environment.
• Self-motivated individual capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
