We are building a diverse team for an upcoming chef-centric lifestyle restaurant, opening in Q1 of 2023 in the CBD/Chinatown area. Focusing on contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine, we strive to preserve the heritage as well as provide exemplary guest experiences with warm hospitality. We are looking for honest, keen and passionate individuals who share and believe in our philosophy and values. The upscale restaurant is headed by the Chef Patron of English-Malay parentage with 20 years of professional restaurant experience, ranging from Michelin-starred restaurants to five-starred hotels in Kuala Lumpur, London and Tokyo.

Responsibilities

• To work closely with the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operation management.
• Assist the Sous Chef in operating the kitchen smoothly and efficiently.
• Line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating in according to recipe and standard operating procedure.
• Supervise the kitchen team of a single shift to attain efficiency in operations.
• Involved in the training process of new employees.
• Assist the Sous Chef in all aspects of the implementation of new, special and promotion menu.
• Ensure that the kitchen runs in compliance with NEA, HACCP and other government authorities\xe2\x80\x99 regulations.
• Supervise kitchen employees ensuring cleanliness of kitchen.
• Monitor kitchen\xe2\x80\x99s inventory to ensure that determined inventory levels are met.
• Coordinate all the customer food orders and give direction to the crew so that all orders can be prepared in a timely and orderly manner.
• Maintain optimal working condition of all kitchen equipment.
• Ensure consistency in standard and quality of all food items prepared.
• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.

• Certification in Culinary, Food & Beverage or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity.
