JOB DESCRIPTION

Pierfront Capital is an investment management firm under the Keppel FM & IM group. Pierfront invests in private credit, including senior/junior debt, mezzanine and structured equity transactions. As an intermediate provider of funding (in between bank debt and equity), Pierfront seeks to be a long-term investment partner for companies operating in the infrastructure and real asset sectors and is uniquely positioned in the market to provide flexible and competitive capital solutions while being backed by strong financial and brand recognition form its sponsors. The selected candidate will be supporting the Pierfront team to undertake all the necessary support activities with regards to originating and executing investments, portfolio management, fund-raising, business development and other activities of the fund manager. Working with senior members of the team, the selected candidate will be responsible for: \xe2\x80\xa2 Performing investment due diligence on transactions including, but not limited to, financial and business analysis, financial modelling, transaction structuring, sector, and macroeconomic research. \xe2\x80\xa2 Performing various tasks related to portfolio management, including, but not limited to monitoring and valuation of existing investments, preparation of business updates and market research. \xe2\x80\xa2 Supporting the team in general business development and fund marketing efforts, including the preparation of pitch books, marketing materials and internal papers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Preparing internal investment committee memos. The selected candidate may also work with the Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance and Treasury functions within the company as appropriate for all ancillary activities in support of the business, such as KYC, risk management, financial forecasts etc. Learning Outcomes: \xe2\x80\xa2 Gain familiarity and exposure to the typical investment due diligence process and the fast-growing private credit/mezzanine space. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop financial analysis and modelling skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop research skills, including the use of Bloomberg, Factiva and other financial research databases.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed or pursuing an academic degree in a relevant field of study such as business management, finance or accounting etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good practical knowledge of finance and investment concepts, including equity analysis, credit risk analysis, financial modelling, valuation etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Past working experience in related fields such as investment banking, leveraged finance, project finance, structured finance and/or private equity would be a plus. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good team player with a strong initiative and the ability to perform with minimal supervision and within tight timeframes.
