Scope of Services
The Kitchen Aide will assist the Food & Nutrition Department and teachers in day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation
Stock-take food deliveries from vendors and prepare ingredients and equipment for each student table before lessons.
Cut and portion food for teachers before lessons and during consecutive classes.
Conduct term-end stock checks, identify expired items, and assist with clearing.
2. Cleaning & Maintenance
Clean kitchens and other areas after lessons as needed.
Wash, clean, and store utensils and cutlery at the end of the day.
Ensure sufficient stocks of cleaning materials (e.g., dishwashing liquid, detergent).
3. Safety & Hygiene
Operate gas levers at the start and end of lessons.
Wash, dry, and fold tea towels and dish cloths.
Maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen, ensuring no leftover food in sinks or work areas.
Inspect equipment and report any faults or safety issues to teachers immediately.
4. Ad-hoc Events
Assist in preparation and clean-up for events and practical examinations conducted outside curriculum hours.
The role requires a strong sense of responsibility for health and safety, hygiene, and efficient support to teachers and students.

Experience in
food preparation, food hygiene, and kitchen operations
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a team and follow safety procedures
