The Lab Technician will be a key member of R&D and Solutions Innovation, a group within Tate & Lyle\xe2\x80\x99s Innovation and Commercial Development Division (ICD) located at the Tate & Lyle site in Singapore.The ICD division is responsible for the new product development (NPD) pipeline and includes both commercial and technical functions. The R&D and Solutions Innovation team within ICD is engaged in all aspects of the product development process, including concept development, business case creation, product design and specifications, scale-up to manufacturing, and new product introduction to customers.About YouWe\xe2\x80\x99re looking to recruit a Lab Technician for our Innovation Lab in the Asia Pacific HQ. Whether it\xe2\x80\x99s by making food and drink healthier and tastier; continuously improving how we work; promoting a safe working environment; or making a difference in our local communities, we believe we can successfully grow our business and have a positive impact on society.What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be DoingThis technician will have the following responsibilities and accountabilities:Perform all activities with a strong, positive commitment to safety, including participation in the safety program.Maintain a clean work environment in our high throughput laboratory.Work hands-on in a laboratory setting to support experiments across a range of support functions.Handle ingredients used in the laboratory through repackaging, loading and unloading of food ingredients, preparing and loading solutions, labelling and logging samples into the computer, and managing recipe ingredients.Handle lab equipment including washing, preparing, and loading containers for use by the system and laboratory equipment, as well as overall laboratory cleanlinessEHSPerform, Maintain and improve the EHS standards and requirements as set by the Company. Participate in the company\xe2\x80\x99s EHS program including training, audit etc., arranged by the company.LocationThis role is assigned to be based in the Singapore office, located at Biopolis (Buona Vista MRT)What You\xe2\x80\x99ll haveGCE \xe2\x80\x98O\xe2\x80\x99/\xe2\x80\x99A\xe2\x80\x99/ ITE/Diploma in any disciplineA minimum of 2-3 years of working experienceAble to lift and manage 25 Kg bags.Possess a strong, positive safety mindset.Experience with computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite).Previous experience in food ingredients or technical manufacturingTroubleshooting skills and willingness to tackle problems independently by root cause analysis.
