The Role
The Laboratory Technologist is expected to provide support in research projects, lab management, operations and safety in the laboratories.
- Plan, support and coordinate research projects
- Handle laboratory operation and management in relation to creation, review and revision of risk assessment and SOPs, materials’ inventory, procurement, post-procurement, processing, equipment maintenance, asset management as well as safety trainings and housekeeping of safety tools in the laboratories
- Other tasks including facilitating lab visits, audit/inspections, etc
Requirements
- Diploma in Life Science or its equivalent
- Prior research experience is of great advantage
- Possess relevant scientific knowledge and hands-on experience in lab management and operations
- Able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature, and be attentive to details
- Passionate about lab safety, operations and management, self-motivated, naturally take ownership of assignments, and proactively propose solutions to arising obstacles
