RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drafting and reviewing legal documents in English and Japanese.
• Case management
• Corresponding with clients and other legal teams
• Dealing with any other related tasks as assigned from time to time.
• Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
• Building excellent working relationships with clients and peers within the firm.

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified to practice Japanese law and passed the relevant bar examinations in Japan
• 5 years and above PQE in Commercial Japanese Law Practice at reputable law firm(s).
• Work experience at in-house counsel position may or may not be counted as relevant PQE in depending on the role(s) and the position(s)
• A track-record demonstrating commitment and achievement.
• Ability to acquire, consolidate and apply fundamental and up-to-date knowledge of the law.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organized and able to work to strict deadlines with the ability to priorities realistically.
