SAFRA invites suitably qualified talents for the following position:LEAD ASSOCIATE, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS(2-YEAR RENEWABLE CONTRACT WITH OPTION)This position manages communication strategies to reinforce SAFRA's mission, vision and brand values in the hearts and minds of NSmen and their families.Key Responsibilities1. Media & Public Relations. Develop and implement media strategies to enhance SAFRA's reputation, including:

  • Propose and execute newsworthy stories and media angles.
  • Coordinating joint media operations with agencies and external partners, including political officeholder involvement.
  • Manage onsite media operations and influencer engagements and address media queries.
  • Handling issues management, particularly on sensitive matters impacting SAFRA's membership or public health and safety.
2. Appreciating NSmen Initiatives. Develop and manage comprehensive communication campaigns highlighting SAFRA's initiatives to honour and appreciate NSmen. This includes:
  • Collaborating with preschools to educate children on NS through updated lesson plans and art activities.
  • Enhancing the NSmen Video Competition to drive higher participation among secondary, JC, and tertiary students and ensuring wide public visibility for the winning entries.
  • Curating and publicising deals for NSmen in collaboration with SAFRA and partnering merchants.
  • Leading collaborations with F&B partners to create and distribute special edition point of sales material, dining packaging that honour NSmen.
3. Collaborations & Partnerships. Lead the collaboration with educational institutions for campaign concept development. Oversee the planning, execution, and amplification of selected campaigns and short films, ensuring impactful outreach to SAFRA members and the wider community.4. Projects & Initiatives. Work on initiatives to deepen engagement with employers, educational institutions, family members and members of the broader community, as well as to facilitate initiatives from the community that better support national defence and NS.5. Committee Secretariat Duties. Provide secretariat support for the Appreciating NSmen Committee, including planning meetings, preparing agendas, and managing follow-up actions.6. Strengthening Commitment to Total Defence. Plan and execute publicity initiatives that align with SAFRA's vision to bolster commitment to Total Defence among national servicemen.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Media Studies, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant working experience, preferably in corporate communications, news & magazine organisations and media relations.
  • Proven track record in managing communication campaigns, preferably within the public sector, media-savvy organisations, or related industries.
  • Good experience in planning and executing media events, public campaigns, and community engagement activities.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with a strong ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Digitally savvy with familiarity with digital advertising.
  • Organised, meticulous & a proactive team player.
  • Singapore citizens only, and a committed advocate of NS.
