Dyson’s multidisciplinary Energy Storage development team is responsible for delivering cells from early prototypes in the UK, through to volume manufacture in a Singapore plant. The cells that the team deliver will push the boundaries of performance, power density, and efficiency. These cells will drive new high value Dyson products with step improvements over our competitors. In conjunction to developing a cell, the team will be responsible for process development, equipment realisation and facility set up jointly with our manufacturing and operational teams.
About the role
The Lead Business Analyst will work in close collaboration with the Energy Storage Development team, internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery and/or lead of the analysis activity is aligned with the requirement to subsequently inform business decision.
You will be supporting the development and implementation of the Energy Storage Strategy, including robust business casing. This will include the modelling of benefits as well as the tracking of their realisation.
You will contribute to develop the Energy Storage Roadmap by assessing new opportunities within the ESD team.
You will be supporting the creation and development of key content for senior reviews with our Leadership and will be offering planning and development capabilities for the Energy Storage Development team.
Act as an internal consultant to business stakeholders to support decision-making. This may include providing recommendations based on domain knowledge.
Work with other team members, managers, and other supporting functions to lead the work of others in delivering new business processes or enhancements.
Devise and plan analysis approach for larger-scale projects
Provide specialist advice on subject to multiple senior stakeholders on complex issues
Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager (TBC), key responsibilities include the following:
Support Business casing for Energy Storage Programme
Maintain a repository of all benefits for Energy Storage Programme, including inputs form other Business.
Monitor Benefit realisation and define the relevant KPIs
Support the development of the ESD strategy that is actionable
Support the production and key content for senior reviews such as internal updates, monthly steer committee meetings, Board Meeting, etc
Collaborate across functions, gathering inputs while ensuring knowledge is shared and priorities are aligned
Being a very safe pair of hands, your analysis and output will go straight to the top, being used by the Directors and C-Level.
