Job Description


Role Responsibilities

  • Implement the programme delivery in line with the Bank\'s control and governance framework
  • Proactively propose and design control improvements, enhancements and simplifications where appropriate
  • Provide cross domain support for Programme delivery (SCM, RFS/Change Management, Project Finance, Resources)
  • Deliver all allocated activities to the highest quality standard and call out when this is not the case
  • Provide accurate and highest quality information to senior stakeholders for them to make informed decisions
  • Proactively monitor programme artefacts and deliverables for quality and completeness, including auditable approval trails
  • Support Programme to manage and close audit, risk and regulatory commitment and proactively self-identify gaps and prevent any audit findings from internal and external auditors
  • Ensure the Programme\'s financial management meets its annual budget via thorough review, control and report on financial status as per the bank\'s standards
  • Streamline and simplify programme controls and processes to increase focus on programme delivery through collaboration with portfolio assurance team
  • Monitor programme benefits and ensure benefits management plans are implemented effectively with clear ownership and metrics of success
  • Advocate best practices across all streams of work within the portfolio / programme and drive consistent high quality deliverables
  • Ensuring all relevant tools for programme status is up to date including Project status, RAG status, key milestones, financials, risks, dependencies, issues and resource forecasts, and they are tracked and reported to the appropriate governance bodies
  • Work extends to the governance, tracking and monitoring of all Initiatives by ensuring governance to Group standard administered by the Project Review Committee or PRC (agenda, papers, packs and minutes).
  • Ensuring that all submissions to committees and working groups (PED, Change Request, Closure Reports, Benefit Reports, Progress Reports etc.) are of the right quality and are timely
  • Pivot the portfolio to from PRC to QPR and aligned the portfolio operations to the new processes.
  • Establish strong relationship with all stakeholders by building trust and delivering high quality work

  • Assist with the setup of programmes and projects or initiatives for success
  • Facilitate End to End execution (scoping, delivery and follow up on remediation actions) through close co-ordination with all stakeholders across group, region and country teams
  • Ensure end-product and artefacts delivered are of sufficient quality and accuracy fit for regulatory consumption

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10+ years of professional working experience in Banking domain
  • 6+ years of experience in supporting projects in terms of governance, quality and financials
  • Certification in PMP preferred.
  • Highly entrepreneurial with a high level of energy, dedication and an unrelenting drive to deliver value.
  • Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organisation\'s goal. Is confident and will roll-up his/her sleeves to drive success
  • Able to get things done in a quick-paced environment. Be transparent and open around what doesn\'t work and what does
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills (successfully led and managed end-to-end technology services and or technology operations) with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise
  • Experience of developing a people strategy, influencing relevant stakeholders and decision makers, and executing decisions efficiently and consistently
  • Excellent communication skills - oral, written and presentation; technical reporting writing across various types of target audiences
  • Knowledge of Clarity & ECM (formerly known as ePMO) standard
  • Tracks risks and opportunities across portfolio forecasts and identifies strategies for optimising spend portfolio as risks and opportunities develop.
  • Domain knowledge in technical and/or Operational project delivery preferred.
