Lead Consultant / Manager - ESG Due Diligence and Sustainable Finance

You will join our Environment and Health department

As our new Lead Consultant, you will be part of a dynamic team providing state-of-the-art scientific, technical, and strategic assistance to an international client base. The majority of your work will be office-based work, including meeting with clients, reviewing and analyzing project-related materials, developing ESG strategies for our clients, and writing reports. Remote hybrid (home/office) work arrangements will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Support the delivery of environmental, environmental, health and safety (EHS) and ESG due diligence projects across a wide range of sectors, including undertaking data room document reviews, confirmatory site visits and reporting.
  • Identify, assessing and succinctly communicating ESG risks and opportunities to allow appropriate consideration by Ramboll\'s clients and their stakeholders.
  • Attend due diligence client/deal team calls with senior Ramboll colleagues to understand the transaction mechanics and client-side considerations of our reports.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of key Singapore and regional environmental regulations and keeping up to date with the latest developments, in environmental policy and regulation.
  • Building working relationships and collaborating widely with our international environmental due diligence team which will enhance your opportunities to work on a wide range of projects and rapidly develop your international due diligence knowledge and experience.
  • Prepare concise reports that assess ESG performance and identify risks, liabilities, and value creation opportunities.
  • Provide ESG program support - including development of policies, strategies, monitoring tools, and sustainability reporting and disclosures - to clients with varying levels of ESG program maturity.
  • Deliver technical sustainability analyses, including related to carbon footprinting, science-based targets, net zero roadmaps, materiality assessments, and life cycle assessments.
  • Interface with clients, including preparing proposals and scopes of work and participating in client and other stakeholder calls.
  • Ensure projects deliver quality results to clients and adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support multiple projects and meet high quality standards on project deliverables.

  • Bachelor\'s degree in an environmental or social discipline and +8 years of work experience specifically in ESG- or sustainability-related assessment and program support. Post-graduate qualifications and relevant certifications in sustainability advantageous but not essential;
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written - this role requires the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to various levels of leadership. Good language skills of languages around the APAC region would be an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Previous experience working in ESDD, Project Finance, EIA, or similar environmental / social discipline with proven track record in one or more major sectors (i.e. real estate, industrial, transport or energy);
  • Knowledge and understanding of the application of ESG criteria and international lenders\' environmental and social standards;
  • Specialist knowledge in one or more core areas: IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, Impact Assessment, GRI
