The candidate will be a Lead Engineer and also the head of the Data Integration & Reporting team and responsible for end-to-end ownership of all applications within the domain and delivery for the Change the Bank (CtB) and Run the Bank (RtB) changes. The candidate will also have the accountability of application lifecycle upgrades and their management.

YOUR CHALLENGE

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

• Lead a team size of 20 \xe2\x80\x93 25 members. Accountable for the overall delivery of the applications in charge
• Experience with Change the Bank (CtB) and Run the Bank (RtB) functions within a bank
• Exposure to Private Banking especially in the area of Data warehouse, Datamarts and Data stores, Informatica Power center, Axiom and Jasper reporting OR equivalent tool
• Experience in managing budget, resources and delivery
• Experience of working across geographies
• Ability to work in matrix org structure
• Provide competitive solutions and effort estimates for the CtB, RtB and Business demands
• Partner with Architects to ensure that solutions are aligned with the IT roadmap
• Play the Design authority role for the applications in charge.
• Design, develop & deliver new enhancements, Data interfaces and Reporting requirements
• Understand system and functional requirements and translate them into technical implementations
• Work closely with Level 2 and provide Level 3 support to production system
• Build effective relationship and partnership with the business stakeholders in support to their technology needs
• Understand synergies across multiple initiatives, provide estimates, propose timelines and obtain project approval
• Defining processes and developing efficiencies and improvements
• Ensure that delivery is in adherence to standards (including code, security and performance)
• Pro-actively monitor and manage Technology debt register

• Regular status updates and early escalation in case of performance/deadline discrepancy or technical conflict

Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management

YOUR PROFILE

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Professional

• Minimum 10+ years of development experience in Data warehouse, BI and regulatory reporting tools such as Informatica, BO, AXIOM, Jasper or equivalent tools
• Good understanding of ODS/DW Data modelling
• Exposure to Private Banking systems and experienced on regulatory projects wrt, MAS, DTCC, HKTR, FINFRAG etc
• Experience on T24 would be advantageous
• Experience of people management and the ability to lead and influence others
• Proven experience in leading and managing delivery of large system/software development projects in a banking environment
• Experience in variety of software development approaches and methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
• Hands-on experience in solution designing and project/Development manager experience
• Ability to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges
• Excellent personal organisation and ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasks.

Technical

Development:

• Experienced in Informatica PowerCenter, Linux, SQL/PL-SQL
• Experience on implementing ODS (Operational Data Store) or Data Warehouse
• Experience working in a Private Banking environment is preferred
• Good knowledge and experience in ETL/Database Performance tuning
• Experience on other BI & reporting tools \xe2\x80\x93 Jasper, Tableau, Qlik , AXIOM etc. is preferred

Database:

• Experience in designing normalised/de-normalised database schema models.
• Experience in performance optimisation
