About the Job
We're seeking Lead Experience Designer to shape user interactions for our web and app applications. This pivotal role focuses on understanding customer needs, designing intuitive interfaces, and fostering a user-centric culture. Join us to lead impactful design initiatives and elevate the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a team of UX designers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality designs.
Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gain insights into user needs, behaviours, and preferences.
Create user journey maps to visualize the end-to-end user experience and identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop information architecture and navigation schemes that organize content in a logical and intuitive manner.
Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and users.
Collaborate with visual designers to create visually appealing interfaces that align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall user experience.
Ensure that designs comply with accessibility standards and guidelines to provide an inclusive experience for all users.
Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of design solutions and iterate based on feedback.
Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align on project goals, priorities, and timelines.
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design, and incorporate them into our design process.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in design, computer science, human-computer interaction, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of UX design experience with a minimum of 3 years leading UX projects for web & mobile apps (responsive design). Bonus points for experience designing chatbots/conversational interfaces.
Adept at designing & conducting user research studies and analysing data to inform design decisions.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.) for creating high- fidelity mock-ups & prototypes.
Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices across web, mobile, and conversational interfaces. Experience with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) is a plus.
Excellent communication, collaboration & presentation skills to effectively lead cross- functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
A passion for user-centered design & creating amazing user experiences.
Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to design decisions.
Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
