Job Description

: Develops global security and safety programs to meet the physical security needs of BNY Mellon employees, clients, visitors, and property. Oversees the contract guard operation of BNY Mellon facilities within the region. Local coordination and delivery of security within the APAC region. Act as the 1st POC for Local Security /Facilities contacts and LOB within region. Support Global Travel Security lead with travel security administration and deployment as required. Support GCS Senior Investigator for the region in respect of security and support investigations as required. Directs risk assessment analyses to facilitate the review of BNY Mellon locations in region on a regular basis. Identifies areas where additional research and review is necessary to ensure optimal security risk mitigation and directs resources to address areas of potential concern. Provides strategic guidance in the monitoring and audit of security processes at BNY Mellon facilities for potential deficiencies. Oversees the development and implementation of process improvements to remediate potential issues. Provide in region support to Enterprise Resiliency Office for incident and crisis management, together with respective BCP requirements. Act as security project manager on all project directly or indirectly affecting the physical security operations of existing and new BNY Mellon office locations in the region. Supports the Regional Security Director and all others members of the team in all aspects of administration.Requirements: The successful candidate should be organised, efficient and capable of working to instructions with minimum supervision. In addition to these attributes, they must have: The ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising tasks accordingly. Strong project management skills, supporting effective tracking of tasks through to successful completion. Excellent organisational skills to support the effective storage of electronic and paper records associated with the role. Demonstrate sound judgment and good decision making when dealing with problems - able to solve challenging problems. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills. Proven experience of successfully managing internal and external stakeholders both by telephone and face to face, including leveraging influencing skills to achieve role objectives. Proactive in building and maintaining strong working relationships that support effective completion of the role. Proficient with MS Office applications Seen as approachable and helpful. Exhibit a desire to broadly understand BNY Mellon's business. Familiarisation and experience of C-Cure 9000 and Victor security systems preferred. Develop and maintain strong liaison with local law enforcement agencies, security agencies and professional security organisations.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 7-10 years of total work experience, with 0-1 years of management experience, preferred. Prior experience in physical security is preferred.
