ROLE PROFILE

We are looking for passionate Manager, Enterprise Solutions to further grow BCG\xe2\x80\x99s thought leadership, capabilities and enablement. These are exciting opportunities to apply a strategic problem-solving lens to your passion for technology, digital and innovation.

As a Manager, Enterprise Solutions, you will work closely with clients to understand their issues, define IT strategies, architecture solutions, win buy-in for your recommendations, and collaborate with fellow BCGers to transform client potential into performance. You will be positioned as team lead, own intellectual leadership and have operational architecture project responsibility. You will lead the project team (s) in large, complex enterprise environments and drive operational and client service excellence. You will help your teams flourish through thought leadership, team mentoring and business development, and clients will seek your advice on business issues that extend beyond the immediate scope of your project work.

As part of our BCG Platinion consulting team, you would work on a variety of technology topics, applying your architectural consulting skills to strategic technology questions. You will be supported by an extensive training curriculum (the same programme as all BCG consultants), plus technology-specific training and mentoring to help you build your skills.

Building community

• Advising internal colleagues on core technical concepts and frameworks
• Advising fellow architects on areas relevant to an area you have depth in
• Developing a network in the BCG technical community and leveraging it for our clients

• Analysing complex IT application landscapes
• Analysing the status quo and optimization of IT architectures
• Identifying non-trivial technology decisions facing a client
• Storytelling about architectural building blocks and their importance
• Road mapping and business case development
  

• Reviewing vendor proposals and/or in-flight technical work
• IT project management and quality assurance
• Optimizing application development processes
  

• Various technology stacks
• Mainframe architecture (nice to have, but not must)
• Cloud native applications and cloud services architecture
• Omnichannel architecture
• Integration methodologies and tools
• API and Microservices architecture
• Structured and unstructured databases and usage patterns
• High-speed, high-volume, high-frequency transaction processing systems
• Real-time logging, monitoring and resiliency approaches
• Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Next gen capabilities (e.g. AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain) and component technologies
• Data analytics architecture (e.g. Data Lake)
• Programming paradigms and approaches (e.g. object-oriented)
• Process automation approaches and tooling (e.g. DevOps, AIOps
• Experience in agile engineering and tooling support
• An agile mindset that moves past blockers and a vision to iteratively migrate to the next/modern set of architecture capabilities with a lens of business benefits/value
• More than 10 years of experience in software development, technical project management, digital delivery, or technology consulting
• Ability to bring unique tech perspectives from outside the consulting industry into BCG\'s typical engagements
• Leadership potential to transform the consulting industry around interaction with designers, engineers and product owners
• Progressing thought leadership in deep tech
• New (but proven) methodologies or ways of working
• Overview of common development methods and tools DevOps practices and Continuous Improvement
• Ability to balance dogmatism and pragmatism to guide decision making. Articulate trade-offs and drive high-impact technology decisions on topics including (but not limited to) IaaS/PaaS providers, container orchestration, service mesh, API gateways, and commercial vs. open source software.
• Approaches to managing Architectural debt, Architecture governance and evolution in practice
• Micro services topologies, including operational concerns such as resiliency, observability, discovery and routing, security etc.
• Have experience with, and understand how to lead, legacy integration and remediation (facades, strangler approaches, et. al.)
• Deep understanding of different integration patterns and best practices
• Bachelors degree preferably in an IT/Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
• MBA, Masters or PhD will be highly regarded
• Flexibility to travel within SEA and Asia Pacific region
