JOB PURPOSE
  • The Technical Writer is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively.
  • The Technical Writer breaks down technical and non-technical processes into easy-to-understand mediums that help the end-user understand how to perform our services.
  • Support in the development to produce the identified procedures and processes for the O&M Operations Management Framework (OMF) and (OE) requirement(s) and ensure compliance with document control, and Policies & Standards.
  • Research products, services, technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience. Analyse this information required for the development or update of procedure and form documentation.
  • Serves as a main contact person to manage questions related to operating procedures and QAQC.
  • Build a robust interface with key stakeholders of various disciplines to develop, review and approve procedures per project schedule.
  • Lead the QAQC processes and activities for operating procedures for project and corporate.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Assist in the development of System procedures / processes by collaboration with departments responsible for Asset O&M support and management.
  • Assists in the OMF reporting and performance management per project schedule. Plan and outline the scope of the project including any additional team members as needed.
  • Prepare reports that represent work performed.
  • Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialised topics are appropriately addressed.
  • Perform topic research, obtaining product samples, document design, and content writing.
  • Create, revise documentation while maintaining version control of documentation including (but not limited to) standard operating procedures, workflows, work instructions, job aids, video aids, quick reference guides, presentations and reports.
  • Assist in production of Operations Excellence Framework and requirements. Lead process improvement initiatives as directed.
  • Assist in development of Operating Standards and Guidelines in accordance with the required standards and regulations.
  • Support / Assist in developing O&M Competency Assurance Management System (CAMS) and training documentation as required. Review and/or copy edit content developed by other members of the team.
  • Support / Assist in developing O&M Human Resource Management System (CAMS) and training documentation as required.
  • Review content developed by other members of the team.
  • Provide project support including but not limited to communicating with office and site operation personnel, administrative activities, and project phase analysis.
  • Understand and assist in implementation of best practices in Operations Excellence from within the industry and from peers.
  • Develop and produce Standards, Operating manuals and Safe Operating Procedures (SOP\xe2\x80\x99s) where delegated, for new projects, working together with Operations Readiness & Assurance (ORA) Team.
REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 7 years of relevant working experience as a Technical Writer developing Operating Procedures & Processes in Oil & Gas sector preferably in FPSO Operations, with at least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of developing management system processes and procedures.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) preferably in Process, Marine or Mechanical.
  • Or Higher technical education in Oil & Gas sector.
