expertise across multiple industries in Business Management, Government Relations, Various Commercial roles involving high stakes negations and complex contracting strategies, Leading EPC Projects, Project Management, Product Management, Manufacturing, Construction and Operations with a proven record for implementing strategies, process improvements and realigning teams to ensure on time performance and optimum profitability utilizing globally recognized Project Management, Earned Value, Continuous Improvement and Lean Operations principles.
Demonstrated expertise in various stages of a Project (e.g. Feasibility, Site selection, Resource management/assessment, Commercial Off-take strategies or PPAs, Permitting and Regulatory compliance, Technology Selection, Human Resource and staffing, Capital management). Most importantly, Project Lead is familiar and accustomed to presenting to Senior Leaders of the Company. As well, as able to represent EDC in various external engagements and forums.
Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making at the board level. Develop and implement a business development strategy that aligns with EDC’s overall vision and its current long-term business goals.
Lead the most critical meetings and negotiations with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (e.g. technology providers, public stakeholders, legal and financial stakeholders or advisors) to pursue business opportunities and protect the organization’s business interests.
Set-up, develop, lead and manage a team of business development professionals to achieve business development goals. This extends to other members of the Project’s cross functional team and site monitoring teams.
