Job Description
SMMIS is recruiting Learning Support Assistant (SEN), ideally with experience supporting students in Secondary level. The successful candidate must be able to commence work in August 2022.
The Learning Support Assistant (SEN) roles:
- To provide learning support across classes and within the SEN department for students who are on the SEN register.
- Assist in providing support for the classroom teachers that enhances the learning environment and the developmental and educational needs of the students'.
- Relevant qualifications in special educational needs
- Relevant qualifications in any discipline or specialise subjects
- At least 2 years relevant experience working with children with special needs or in a similar capacity preferred
- Good levels of written and spoken English
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Enthusiasm and aptitude for working with students
- Good team plater, able to work well as part of a team
