Lecturer (Advertising and Content Creation)

• Mould young minds via inspiring workshops and studio practice, student consultations, supervision of assignments and projects which sit on the intersection of technology and design.
• Focus on quality of lesson design and delivery through engaging teaching and learning strategies and methods, exploiting wherever possible, technology to promote learning.
• Actively engage with industry and professional bodies to stay abreast with and be responsive to changing trends in the profession and the educational landscape
• Be mindful of and address the diverse learning needs of students in class and implement ways to holistically develop the potential of students through a range of interventions
• Promote skills upgrading amongst working adults through development and facilitation of professional workshops and continuing education training programmes.

We are looking for dedicated individuals with unique perspectives and the ability to deliver and excite, both in the classroom and in the realm of communication design processes. The candidate should be:

• A creative visionary, leading and inspiring a team consisting of designers, copywriters, and art directors
• Proficient in translating strategic insights and research findings into innovative creative concepts
• A collaborator, working closely with account executives, strategists, and clients to craft advertising concepts and strategies
• A master in translating ideas into compelling visual and written content
• An expert in seamlessly integrating creative ideas across various channels, encompassing print, film, web, mobile, social media, and experiential marketing
• Proficient in developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies that support marketing and business goals
• Highly skilled in graphic manipulation, with a mastery of graphic design and layout using Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign
• A proven creative professional with a track record of successfully overseeing creative projects from initial concept to final production

Capabilities in the following areas will be advantageous:

• Proficiency in emerging technologies, including GenAI, Web3, and AR/VR, demonstrating a keen understanding of their potential applications
• Strong creative writing skills, capable of effectively storytelling through advertising and communication work
• A deep understanding of various social media platforms, including their features, algorithms, and best practices, with capability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve social media performance
