[What the role is]

This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, International Trade & Business in the School of Business & Accountancy.

[What you will be working on]

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Lecturer, you will prepare and update teaching materials and conduct lectures, tutorials and workshops. You will develop/set and mark assignments, projects, quizzes and tests related to the module(s) assigned and keep records of student attendance and grades. You will also support student learning and development through student consultations and mentoring. In addition, you will be required to take on committee portfolio and ad-hoc projects that support the school\xe2\x80\x99s mission.

[What we are looking for]

Candidates should have relevant experience in one or more functional roles in logistics/ supply chain management/ trade operations (such as warehousing, procurement, transportation, forwarding), and a good understanding of how integration of these functions can add value to businesses. Candidates who had held business development or sales roles in relation to logistics/ supply chain management/ trade operations are also welcome to apply.

Candidates should possess experience in leading, driving or contributing in:

Technology and digital transformation initiatives such as automation, analytics, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and e-commerce etc.; and/ or

Business improvement and transformation initiatives such as process improvement, supply chain network optimization, sustainable logistics, etc.

You should be able to develop, deliver and assess curriculum in both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) courses.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics/ supply chain management/ trade operations.

A nurturing mindset with a passion for working with young adults and mature learners.

Ability to use innovative teaching strategies to motivate learners.

Competent in planning, developing and teaching logistics/ supply chain management-related modules.

Strong IT skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.

Additional pre-requisites that are advantageous:

Industry certification in one or more areas in Project Management, Six Sigma, Business Analytics and/or Sustainability.

Prior teaching experience.

Proficiency in using SAP and/ or Cargowise.
