The job of an academic is challenging and meaningful. Not only will he/she have both the knowledge and relevant working experience, he/she must possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing them and moulding their character. There will be opportunities to develop the curriculum, introduce new courses and be involved in consultancy and industry projects. Administrative work related to teaching and School/Institutional strategic initiatives will be an important part of the job scope too. Successful candidates are expected to be resourceful, innovative and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

The appointee must be competent to teach Supply Chain Analytics & Automation and at least 2 of the following subject areas:

Logistics Operations (transportation & warehouse management)

Global Procurement Management

Enterprise Business Processes (ERP systems)

Responsibilities:-

Conduct lessons, create teaching materials and assessments, and facilitate (face-to-face/online) learning for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) students.

Keep abreast of current industry trends and emerging technologies to develop and maintain a relevant and up-to-date curriculum. This includes review of existing curriculum with a view to making recommendations on areas of improvements that would enhance students' performance, learning and employability.

Lead and collaborate with other teaching staff and external parties to facilitate industry and consultancy projects.

Provide administrative and pastoral care support in the running of diploma courses.

Lead and mentor students for competitions, industry projects, internships and overseas learning and community service programmes.

Requirements:-

Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in supply chain analytics and automation, logistics, and international trade and operations.

Proven ability to undertake consultancy projects.

Strong passion in mentoring students and has genuine concern for their holistic development.

Strong team player with good communication skills.

Candidates with relevant teaching experience and academic qualifications (in the required specialisation) will have an added advantage
