What the role is:Lecturer (Medical Biotechnology)What you will be working on:The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the teaching of subjects related to any of the following areas: Microbiology, Biochemistry, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, Blood Banking, Histopathology, and Clinical Cardiology. The responsibilities include the following:

• Conduct lectures, tutorials, practicals and assessments in full-time and part-time courses.
• Plan, implement, review and improve lesson plans regularly.
• Provide feedback and consultative input in curriculum design, contents, and assessments.
• Develop curriculum/subjects and teaching/laboratory facilities relevant to the industries.
• Support course administration and coordination of subjects/programmes.
• Mentor students in character development and career readiness.
• Provide pastoral care for students.
• Supervise students in research projects.
• Perform other related duties as required.

What we are looking for:

• Qualification in biomedical, biological science, life science or relevant field.
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant industry experience in clinical laboratories (Immunology, Biochemistry, Haematology, Blood Banking, Cytology, Molecular Biology) / heart clinics (Echocardiography, 2D imaging, M-mode, and colour Doppler, Invasive Procedures).
• Skills in the use of digitalisation and Generative AI in clinical laboratories is a plus.
• Passionate in teaching and mentoring students.
• Keen to be involved in applied and multi-disciplinary research/industry projects.
• Resourceful and able to work independently to meet deadlines and achieve deliverables.
