Roles and Responsibilities

• Support the Vice Dean in managing academic and administrative matters, including providing input on curriculum reviews or new modules/courses; supporting teaching staff in their course delivery; coordinating and collating documents such as module guides, module review and assessment records; suggesting relevant resources or purchasing of materials for teaching purposes; monitoring students\xe2\x80\x99 progress, performance and attendance by ensuring timely submissions of attendance and mid-semester reports; and assisting with the conduct of class observations and peer observations where necessary
• Work with colleagues to establish and maintain links with the industry and institutions to foster a total approach of academic pursuit alongside industry practice
• Organize and participate in marketing outreach activities, such as conducting talks and workshops to market the Programme
• Organize and support internal and external activities that will benefit both faculty and students\xe2\x80\x99 learning
• Undertake 14 - 18 contact/teaching hours per week during term time
• Perform administrative duties as expected of an academic staff
• Provide pastoral support for students

Requirements

• Minimum Masters qualification in related discipline, preferably a PhD
• Minimum 5 years of teaching and relevant working experience
• Positive, enthusiastic and results-oriented with the ability to engage students in their learning
• Good knowledge in arts industry practices, and holds a multi-disciplinary portfolio in the creative field
• Good command of written and spoken English
• A team player with good interpersonal skills
