JOB SUMMARY

AerCap is seeking a motivated individual to join its Legal Leasing team for the APAC region as a Legal Assistant.

The Legal Leasing department advises AerCap's senior executives, board of directors and stakeholders on all customer-facing legal issues, including commercial transactions, litigation, and regulatory matters. The Legal Assistant position covers a broad spectrum of functions, administering general business office activities, travel, expense reports, legal invoices, calendaring and similar matters. The Legal Assistant is responsible for supporting smooth operations within the Legal department while upholding the institution’s mission and vision and adhering to its set standards. To succeed, the applicant must be detail-oriented, highly organized and self-starting, and must thrive in fast-paced environments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Assist attorneys and paralegals in maintaining files and databases 
  • Prepare reports, presentations, memorandums, proposals and correspondence 
  • Process expense reports 
  • Process law firm invoices 
  • Schedule attorney travel 
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for attorneys 
  • Serve as the go-to for office inquiries
JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, & COMPETENCIES

Educational/Experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
  • 2 years’ relevant work experience
Technical/Functional 
  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Advanced word-processing skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Client Relationships 
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers 
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect
Team Communication 
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team 
