Department & Role Allen & Overy Singapore is a hub for the firms work across ASEAN and India. Our history in Singapore spans more than 20 years. We were one of the first international firms to be granted a Singapore Qualifying Foreign Law Practice (QFLP) licence in 2008, allowing us to practice Singapore law, and only one of four to have had the licence renewed for a further full five-year term in 2014. The team predominantly advises on cross-border financings across all Southeast Asian jurisdictions, India and on deals across the broader Asia Pacific region. The group has a particular focus on leverage finance, acquisition finance, private equity driven finance, property/real estate finance, project finance, share-backed finance and general corporate financings. The team is consistently ranked tier 1 across all of the major legal directories. Our work spans a variety of sectors ranging from financial services, insurance, mining, pharmaceuticals, real estate and retail to telecommunications and manufacturing.
Role requirements

• Qualfied Lawyer with a minimum of 0 - 5 years PQE in a common law jurisdiction. The candidate should be England & Wales, New York, Australian or New Zealand qualified due to the cross border nature of our work
• Experience in complex cross border and multi-jurisdicitonal banking work for an international law firm
• Strong technical banking knowledge
• Strong experience in Project Finance, Syndicated finacing and Private Equity financing work
• Excellent Client Relationships skills
• Strong commercial/business acumen with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and advice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels and particularly to win the respect of the partner and fee-earner community, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborative team player with the ability to develop and work in a fast paced, intellectually rigorous environment
