Job Description

• 3 to 8 years of PQE (Post Qualified Experience) preferably gained with an establised law firm or corporate in-house legal environment
• Experience in civil and commercial litigation, contract drafting
• Experience in construction law, international trade, or intellectual property work an advantage

Our client is a renowned and global player in the engineering sector. Its global HQ is in Singapore. Re the location, it is based in Tuas (and the co provides island wide bus pick up services to and from the work location).As the legal counsel, you provide legal service to various functions within the group, including but not limited to legal advice, review, negotiating and drafting contracts, management of litigation, to facilitate business operationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation / Experience/Requirements

• Law degree from recognised university

3 to 8 years of PQE (Post Qualified Experience) preferably gained with an establised law firm or corporate in-house legal environmentExperience in civil and commercial litigation, contract drafting

• Experience in construction law, international trade, or intellectual property work an advantage

• Commercial legal experience in a law firm or as-house legal counsel preferred
• Open to being based in Tuas (Islandwide transport provided)
• Open to the following official work hours: Mon-Thu: 7.30am - 5.15pm, Fri: 7.30am - 4.15pm

Functional skills:

• Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Good knowledge of laws applicable to company operations and businesses
• Strong communicator and possess a commercially savvy approach to legal matters
• Sound knowledge in handling domestic and cross-border/regional dispute resolution litigation
