Establish and manage Group PDPA policies to comply with all relevant consumer laws and privacy laws
Maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory issues & the regulatory framework in which the business operates and take responsibility for the development of informed solutions enabling the business to respond to and deal with regulatory constraints
Assist with corporate secretarial matters including maintaining the company statutory registers and records, provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to the board and ensure the company meets all its legal obligations
Advise on issues relating to Quality Assurance, technology/IP contracts e.g. research collaboration contracts, joint development commercial contracts, confidentiality agreements, technology grants/funding, and commercial contracts e.g. supply contracts, sales contracts, purchase orders
Draft and negotiate various contracts and documents and support the organization operationally
Participate in legal due diligence and business integration in connection with strategic initiatives including global expansion plans
Monitor and interpret the legislative environment in which the business operates within APAC and the US to ensure the business understands and meets its legal obligations as laid out in statutes and regulations
Participate in litigation/enforcement actions instituted by or against the business
Contribute to the development and execution of the (Legal) functional strategy
Assist to develop standard operating procedures, guidelines, and documentation templates
Identify new initiatives and proposals in line with the business strategy and values to ensure legal operates at the heart of the business and as effective risk managers and business partners
Qualifications:
Admitted as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore or qualified in another Commonwealth jurisdiction, with minimum 3 to 4 years of post-qualification experience.
Experience in legal matters relating to IP, Technology, R & D, purchase & sales agreements.
Able to handle privacy/data protection and corporate secretarial matters
Non-practitioner with relevant experience may be considered
Lawyers/legal practitioners with interest in renewable energy are encouraged to apply
Possess strong business acumen
Versatile, be able to think and navigate quickly and possess a strong analytical mind to focus on core issues
Able to work collaboratively across multiple functions, organizations and with a diverse group of colleagues and management
Excellent organizational skills with an eye for details
Thinking out-of-the-box with strong analytical and reasoning skills

A good team player with positive working attitude and willingness to learn is essential
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
Familiarity with APAC and/or US laws and regulations, preferably with some exposure to regional transactions in the manufacturing industry is an advantage. No madatory travel.
Familiarity with litigation management
Able to speak, read and write a foreign language highly desirable.
