LEGAL COUNSEL (10 TO 15 YEARS POST QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE (\xe2\x80\x9cPQE\xe2\x80\x9d))



This full-time position to be based in Singapore, requires a highly motivated and committed individual with the aptitude and ability to learn quickly to support Interplex Group\'s business.

The successful candidate will function as a corporate generalist and will report to the General Counsel based in Singapore. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with the members of the Legal Team to provide legal support to Interplex Group worldwide.

Key responsibilities for this role Include, but are not limited to:

• General Legal Support and Advisory. Conduct legal research, render professional legal advice and support to all areas of the business.
• Contract Review. Draft, review, advise and negotiate (where required) international contracts (including non-disclosure agreements, supply of goods and services agreements, procurement of materials and manufacturing equipment agreements, procurement of IT services agreement, lease agreements, letters of intent, term sheets).
• Corporate. Provide legal support on general corporate matters and strategic transactions. Render advice on M&A, projects, investments and joint ventures including conducting due diligence investigations, negotiations, drafting transaction documentation, assisting with regulatory reviews, complete transactions and handle post-completion matters.
• Risk Management. Identify and manage legal risks in contracts, operations and claims, and engage with all internal stakeholders.
• Compliance. Advise the business on compliance with Interplex Group policies and work with internal stakeholders to ensure that legal, regulatory and contractual obligations are met.
• Training. Identify and deliver appropriate training to the internal stakeholders.
• Management of external counsel. Manage relationships with external counsel as approved by the General Counsel.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified to practice law in Singapore, the U.K, the U.S. or other common law jurisdiction
• Possess a minimum 10 years experience in corporate and commercial matters with a mixture of training at a reputable law firm and in-house experience
• An understanding and experience in the automotive, medical or information and communications manufacturing industry is advantageous
• Fluent in Chinese and Proficient in professional Legal English
• Strong ethical standards, integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information
• Excellent communication, engagement and interpersonal skills to manage multiple levels of the organization; with the ability to provide legal advice to non-legal stakeholders
• High strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Strong negotiation skills with transaction management experience
• A \xe2\x80\x9chands on\xe2\x80\x9d team player who is also able to work independently and self-manage competing priorities in an intensely timeline-oriented environment
• Ability to work irregular hours to accommodate international time zones. Some travel may be required
• Strong overall computer skills, and proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
