Zenyum HQ is looking for a legal counsel to join us in the Singapore HQ.

You will get a chance to advise on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters.

We are looking for a driven and proactive individual who will thrive in a startup environment. You will get a chance to shape the Zenyum group\'s policies, lead a variety of projects (in HQ and across Asia) and develop relationships with business leads across the group.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate various commercial contracts (including supplier agreements, partnership agreements, product or service T&Cs, IP agreements and NDAs), independently or with support from our panel of external counsel.
• Work with country MDs to procure, manage and maintain regulatory approvals and licenses required in various markets.
• Support our markets by providing drafting advice, assisting with audits or diligence, and effectively managing external counsel.
• Monitor and propose measures in relation to changes to the legal and regulatory framework in our various markets.
• Delivering practical legal and regulatory advice (whilst balancing legal and commercial considerations) to Zenyum\'s business teams in relation to complex projects, including launch of new products or services.
• Assist with standard compliance controls, data protection, privacy, security and other compliance matters across the markets.
• Manage the group\'s intellectual property portfolio and liaise with filing agents.
• Manage and develop a suite of standard form templates, compliance policies, SOPs and training materials.
• Manage and advise on litigation, investigations, law enforcement and regulatory communications.
• Report (as required) to the board and senior leadership on key legal and regulatory matters.

• Qualified to practice law in Singapore.
• 2-4 years of experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house practice. Prior experience working in a corporate practice or a startup will be an advantage.
• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree from a reputed university in a common law jurisdiction.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, \'startup style\' environment.
• Able to manage complex projects and to escalate appropriately.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills
