To support 6 lawyers in finance, projects and construction advisory disputes. Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Opening client files, including completing conflict searches and money laundering checks in conjunction with lawyers, preparing client engagement letters, collating all the relevant information required for file opening and maintaining client files on a day to day basis, including filing where required
  • Managing production of documents (produced in-house and externally), co-ordinating changes made including taking responsibility for the consistency of those documents (eg, formatting, numbering, CompareDocs, etc), utilising the DP as and when necessary
  • Transcribing, editing and amending legal and other documents including marketing presentations and materials. Converting, comparing, copy typing and proofreading the same as necessary, ensuring that documents comply with house style
  • Assisting lawyers with the billing process and ensuring timely submission of bills, including drawing up pre-bills, editing of narratives, preparing cover letters/emails and finalizing bills
  • Preparing and submitting lawyers\' expenses in accordance with the firm\'s policies and following up on authorisations
  • Research clients, potential clients and new business initiatives or opportunities
  • Take ownership of the preparation of bids, tenders, proposal documents, team sheets, brochures and client briefing documents
  • Manage credentials database and update fee earner CVs
  • Effectively use CRM systems
  • Work in collaboration with Business Development Teams to ensure consistent approach
  • Manage fee earners\' social media channels if and when required

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills (oral and written)
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a professional services environment
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English
  • Chinese language skills (of advantage but not necessary)
