Role Responsibilities
Description of the Role Lending Technology Chief Scrum Master role will work closely Lending COO, Business (client coverage, syndicates, FM, CF and BB), Finance and Risk stakeholders to lead the lending deliveries. In this capacity, the candidate is accountable for success of critical programs managed by Lending Technology team including cross hive programs leveraging exceptional project governance under Agile methodology. This includes working across multiple geographic locations, with demanding stakeholders and ownership of program objectives. The ideal candidate should have deep understanding of the Commercial Lending, Corporate Finance arena, coupled with working knowledge of payment, reconciliation and financial / regulatory reporting protocols. He should also be familiar with Agile Delivery, Stakeholder Management, and awareness of lending ecosystem. Candidate should also be well versed with overall Project Administration Toolsets like Clarity and JIRA. Candidate should exhibit analytical skills, ingenuity, critical thinking and sound judgment when it comes to Program / Project Management lifecycle. Should be self-motivated and demonstrate in their past roles a structured approach to problem solving, organising, and communicating to stakeholders while managing complex programs with multi-hive, multi-location engagement model. Manage delivery of programs under Lending Technology, which functional initiatives, Regulatory changes, Data Remediations, Cyber Security remediation, Obsolescence, etc.

  • This role would require 12+ years of relevant experience within the Commercial Lending and Corporate Finance space, including implementation of strategic technology and operations solutions. International exposure, ability to handle cultural diversity and developing high performers.
  • A good understanding of the Commercial Lending domain, coupled with working knowledge of payments, settlement, reconciliation, and financial / regulatory reporting protocols.
  • Knowledge of loan origination and servicing, lending business events, basics of lending sub-ledger and related accounting, Balance sheet, P&L, Cash Recon Model, TP recon, Balance substantiation, MTM, Fair Value accounting, etc will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of external linkages across central systems / golden sources and data flows.
  • Experience in managing Technology obsolescence programs.
The candidate must be a Certified Scrum Master. Agile Delivery Management
  • The candidate is expected to run various ceremonies / manage agile delivery using, but not limited to below involving multi-hive, multi-location scrum teams
  • Big Room Planning
  • Scrum of Scrum Meeting
  • Retrospectives / Show-N-Tells
  • Sprint Plan Reviews
  • Backlog management and grooming
  • Hands-on experience on JIRA to define and manage EPICS/ Stories / Tasks with assignments across single / multiple JIRA projects.
  • Leveraging on his / her domain knowledge, facilitate and moderate RAID, Triage and refinement.
Financial Management
  • Ownership of financial management for the portfolio of programs including but not limited to managing assigned budgets, financial forecast, timesheet / recharges, vendor invoicing.
RAID Management
  • Ownership for ensuring RAID events, mitigation plans and accountability are identified, communicated and managed across all programs in the portfolio.
SDLC and Agile Management Practices
  • Ownership of compliance to SCB SDLC processes and guidelines.
  • Maintenance of project artefacts in designated bank’s repository in accordance to project management standards.
Key Tools
  • Hands-on experience on M7, Clarity (PPM), JIRA, MS Excel and other project management tools to effectively manage and report program deliveries.
Support Hive Tech Lead
  • Support Hive Tech Lead in Monthly Refinement Forum (RF)
  • Deep understanding of delivery RAID logs across programs.
  • Ownership on project financials (including forecasts/ budget plans and corrective actions to achieve path to Green).
  • Support to manage Portfolio management activities in the interim till a Portfolio Analyst is appointed.

Key Stakeholders
  • Key stakeholder management namely Lending COO, Business (client coverage, syndicates, FM, CF and BB), Finance and Risk stakeholder.
  • Should be able to represent Lending Technology in various senior level meetings like Refinement forum, Budgeting, MPR, etc.
  • Peer Cluster Leads and Product Owners.
  • Change and Portfolio Management Team.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 12 years experience with Commercial lending product such as ACBS / LoanIQ.
  • Scrum Master Certification is Mandatory
  • Practiced Agile Delivery, Stakeholder Management, and awareness of lending ecosystem
  • Candidate should also be well versed with overall Project Administration Toolsets like Clarity and JIRA.
  • The candidate is expected to run various ceremonies / manage agile delivery using, but not limited to below involving multi-hive, multi-location scrum teams
  • Other Training / qualifications and Certifications in some of the functional and/or technical domains will be an added advantage.

Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Good understanding of the Commercial Lending domain, coupled with working knowledge of payments, settlement, reconciliation, and financial / regulatory reporting protocols
  • Diverse experience in Software delivery Lifecycle adhering to globally accepted test and release methodology.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, learning and organizing skills matched with the ability to manage stress, time and people effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of release management process and tools, remedy management.
  • Proven experience in co-ordination of many dependencies and multiple demanding stakeholders in a complex, large-scale deployment environment.
  • Proven skills in co-ordination, staff management and leadership working with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and challenging stakeholder community.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
