About the role This position of LNG Cargo Operations Specialist is located in Singapore and is part of a global team responsible for trading LNG both from client's upstream assets as well as 3rd part About the role This position of LNG Cargo Operations Specialist is located in Singapore and is part of a global team responsible for trading LNG both from client's upstream assets as well as 3rd party cargoes. The Singapore team is also responsible for adding value to the business through the commercial risk management of client's global LNG exposure. As LNG Cargo Operations Specialist, you will work as part of a team responsible for the commercial operations related to the loading, transport, and discharge of LNG cargoes, and providing commercial, logistical, and administrative support to various functions within client's Supply & Trading. Primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Oversee the timely implementation and execution of commercial deals and LNG contracts (SPAs/MSPAs), proactively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure cargoes are operated in a structured manner Ensure that all obligations arising from the LNG contract and/or charter party are met and carried out professionally, including issuance and settlement of invoice, PR for cargoes, shipping cost, demurrage calculation & negotiation, etc... Work closely with traders towards optimisation, including maximising profitable operations and minimising profit leakage from the flexibility and optionality embedded in the LNG contracts and Supply programs. Communicating with internal stakeholders for matters relating to cargo operations (legal, treasury, commercial, shipping) Manage the relationships with third parties/associates, including terminals, shipping companies, surveyors and client's Trading and Origination businesses Contribute towards the development of projects and new contracts, working closely with Trading, Origination, Legal, Contracts, Mid and Back Office Functions, Tax, Finance and Credit teams. Required Qualifications Equivalent of a Bachelors Degree or above 2 years + experience related experience within an LNG operations capacity as part of a global LNG business or commodity trading business Excellent knowledge and understanding of the LNG business value chain Excellent communication skills and working knowledge of trading systems Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to take the initiative and to work independently when necessary. Meticulous, detailed oriented and adaptability to changing environment with the understanding that the job requirement is 24/7. Experience working in a capacity with LNG liquefaction and/or regasification terminals and LNG cargos with Measurement and Testing expertise is preferred.
