This position participates in design, development, and deployment of supply chain infrastructures to support best practices in distribution. The fundamental purpose of these activities is to achieve maximum competitive advantage from the corporation's investment in distribution operations worldwide.
About the Job:
Active participant in assigned distribution optimization projects, which can include integration of acquired distribution assets into the Littelfuse supply chain, alignment of existing distribution assets with the corporate Master Distribution Center strategy, and development and deployment of solutions to assist customers with programs like VMI and consignment relationships with Littelfuse.
Coordinate with Distribution Systems Analyst (liaison between the Global Supply Chain and the Littelfuse Information Technology department) on needed hardware and/or software purchases to support chain systems.
Assist the Global Supply Chain Manager in assigned projects and investigations.
Provide a resource for in-house consultancy to the Business Units for Supply Chain best practices.
Assist the Information Technology team with Global SAP Implementation as a member of implementation teams.
About You:
College degree in Supply Chain Mgt, Industrial Engineering, or Business Management
At least 3 years of progressive supply chain management experience.
Project Management experience preferred.
APICS CPIM preferred.
Technical or general knowledge on business and working processes.
Capable of managing all aspects of complex projects including timelines, budgets, personnel, interactions with supporting members from all areas of the company.
Highly proficient oral and written communication skills required.
Ability to sufficiently grasp and internalize complex abstract ideas, and effectively communicate those ideas to laymen and peer's.
Ability to both lead and participate as cross-functional team member.
Ability to make effective decisions, both with and without constraints to available information.
Knowledge of distribution best practices.
Solid analysis and research skills.
Advanced Proficiency with MS Windows/MS Office Access, Excel, FrontPage, Word, Project, and Visio.
Should be able to work under pressure and have the ability to communicate and influence people.
Must maintain a high degree of professionalism when dealing with customers and fellow associates.
Good level of organizational skills.
