He or she will create logistical plans and procedures to ensure that internal and external customer requirements are satisfied. The job of a logistics and distribution manager entails more than just organizing products storage and distribution. You will make certain that the proper product is used. You will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location at a reasonable cost. You may also be involved in sales, transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods. Requirements and Responsibilities : . Deep understanding of department's entire operations . Oversees a departmental sub-function. . Develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure and develops functional plans and specific targets for the sub-function . Take charge of the organization's logistics department and directs and manages its operations . Guarantee that internal and client demands are satisfied, develops logistics plans and procedures . Has a bachelor's degree is required for the position of Logistics Director . Reports to the top of the organization . Has at least 5 years of management experience.
