ABOUT THE POSITION

The Logistic Manager is responsible for bringing our products from factories across the world to the doorstep of our customers, in a B2B setting with the team. You and the team strive to deliver all our products on time and in full to our customers with compliance to international storage, import and export regulations. Within the team you carry responsibility for transport planning and ensuring timely and accurate administration of the logistics flows, purchase orders and documentation.

Fundamental in this role is the ability to remotely manage and motivate your team, and take an active role in the preparation and implementation of emergency logistics response. You have an eye for detail, thorough and feel comfortable being the spider in the web. You are service driven, structured and understand that it takes true cooperation and solid communication with every stakeholder throughout the supply chain to make processes run smooth. To be successful you will need to roll up your sleeves, gain a clear understanding of companywide processes and sometimes just lean into the chaos and bring a structured approach to solving day-to-day issues.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Lead the Global Logistic team with the day to day operations.
• Direct, optimize and coordinate transports.
• Source, maintain and build strong relationships with suppliers, warehouses and 3PLs.
• Managing logistics agreement(s), monitoring performance of freight forwarder(s).
• Keep up to date with market intelligence and ensure quote obtained and agreement pricing are competitive.
• Liaise and negotiate with forwarders.
• Warehouse Management.
• Plan and arrange transportation from and to the warehouses and suppliers.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
• Validate and verify shipping and customs documentation.
• Identify and communicate (potential) delays
• Record all logistics flows accurately and to ensure dates in sales and purchase orders are correct at all times.
• Check and authorise logistics invoices.
• Write and maintain manuals and process descriptions.
• Work with all stakeholders to design and plan fit-for-purpose logistics staffing structures.
• Audit the effective implementation of processes and documentation regularly.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of the strategy.
• Improve operational performance.
• Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.
• Identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities.
• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
• Willing to travel.
• Training and development of logistics team members.
• Develop and review of SOP.
• Meet operations key performance indicators and improve on customer feedback.
• Responsible in ensuring all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with law and regulation.
  

YOUR ATTRIBUTES

• 8 \xe2\x80\x93 10 years of proven working experience at managerial level in Logistics or Supply Chain
• Ability to lead and manage staff
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong knowledge of ERP system and Microsoft office suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
• Well verse on incoterm and revenue recognition
• Well-versed in logistical process improvement, change management, and productivity improvements
