We are currently based at Metropolis, Buona Vista, Singapore. This is a 3 years contract role.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates Logistics Plan for assigned projects and develops any project specific shipping or material handling procedures. Works with the Material Controller to monitor and report the status of the Project Material Plans and transportation status to the project teams. Identifies and recommends possible solutions to resolve delays to the project schedules.
  • Researches available routes and modes of transportation for MODEC cargo to determine the most efficient and economical method and of shipment and carrier. Provides transportation options to decrease costs.
  • Coordinates shipments with service providers for direct shipments. Coordinates with freight forwarders to book import & export cargo and foreign to foreign cargo. Works with brokers, agents, or forwarders to charter vessels, barges, and other specialty carriers as needed to support FPSO.
  • Prepares reviews, consolidates and distributes all documents required for shipment including commercial invoices, destination and end use statements, NAFTA Certificates of Origin, etc. Maintains files for imported materials. Prepares Marine Cargo Insurance declarations / certifications.
  • Ensures that necessary export documentation is created in a timely manner and that all regulatory requirements for the exporting and importing countries are satisfied.
  • Reviews, verifies, codes and submits for approval, freight invoices for the freight payment company (CRS invoice authorization). Reviews, verifies, codes and submits crating charges for approval.
  • Provides estimates of project shipping costs for proposals.
  • Performs special projects required by to support Project Teams, Materials Group, and Operations.
Requirements:

Has a Diploma in engineering with relevant years of professional experience pr Degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, operations or related field preferred.

Proficient in writing Chinese and spoken Mandarin as you will liaise with China yard and vendors.

Possesses China Customs (Import/Export) knowledge such as PT book and BLP process. * Has Project Logistics experience (preferable in Offshore OiL and Gas Industry), not General Logistics.
  • Well-versed in Brazil Customs (Import/Export) knowledge such as various Customs Regimes including Repetro, DrawBack and DAC Process.
  • Has HLV (Heavy Lift Vessel) and OOG (Out of Gauge) cargo handling experience.
  • Has MWS (Marine Warranty Survey) knowledge and experience.
