Job Description


Role Definition

  • Track the key economic indicators from multiple data sources as a gauge of broader macro trends in the Indian economy. Monthly dashboard tracking 25+ indicators as an indicator of economic activity. Time series analysis of these indicators to see trends.
  • Covering Indian economy and its linkages with global economic events.
  • Detailed research on factors affecting debt market outlook such as NPA trends, provisioning ratio, high yield bond trades etc.
  • Track a wide range of sectors for latest trends/regulations/outlook and gain a broader perspective on economy. It includes (but surely not limited to):
    • preparing notes/updates on webinars/seminars/conclaves organized by various agencies,
    • Keeping track of financial results and updates of major publicly listed companies and
    • Updating various databases that we maintain for our analysis. This also includes taking part in periodic research presentations done to various teams.
  • Blend global metrics related to commodity/energy/economy with India\xe2\x80\x99s domestic fundamentals to assess the linkages and the effects thereon.
  • Assist in detailed analysis of Individual sectors highlighting long term trends and giving both long term and short-term forecasts.
  • Selective research on any other topic of interest.
  • Assist in any other work as may be assigned from time-to-time eg: execute trade deals, support in monitoring credit approvals, etc.
Skill-set Functional Skills
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience in the field of private credit and/or portfolio management.
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s/Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree from a reputed University.
  • Experience with market, industry, style, company and equity security analysis.
  • Understanding of Indian economy and corporates will be advantageous.
  • Experience with MS Office and Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to multitask with adaptability to foreign work culture.
  • Self-driven and possess strong motivation and drive to succeed.
  • Flexibility to liaise with teams in India and offices/personnel in other jurisdictions.
  • Someone who believes in a long-term career
Experience
  • Asset Management company; Research in equity, private debt; economist; consulting.
